We had a minor incident at the first roundabout with a guest rider from another club needing a friendly face & some plasters. Realistically we had the minimum number of helpers necessary for that to be a reality. Thank you to Fiona for being on hand with the First Aid & all the helpers who gave us the numbers to have roundabout marshalls.
The rider was ok to ride home, escorted by Bex who was going that way, but he appreciated the many offers of a lift!

Ed Haynes, going first off, brave for a man that went the wrong way last time! He got everything right this time, laid down a time & got points on the board, good job!
John Webber, doing his first TT of the season, with a crazy good time & taking the coveted V50 M RB top spot.
Nigel Moore, got it done despite having been a bit under the weather for the last week. He knew this was his last opportunity to log his 5th score & nothing was going to stop him.
Scott Newman, doing his first-ever TT (possibly bullied into it by Michael) showed the V40’s (M RB) how it’s done, beginners luck? We’ll find out in 2 weeks!
Stew Mac, when he’s not being the club’s best advocate of proper group riding he’s pushing all the watts.
Rich Jones, brought a gun to a knife fight, with only himself & Bex on TT bikes it was up to them to defend the honour of all us nerdy aero TT types. Rich did it with aplomb, could Bex keep it rolling?
Bex Green, of course she could! Another PB! Bex has ridden 3 TTs this year & each one has been a PB, in the ‘you V you’ battle Bex is winning.
Michael Carney, is not content with just being head TT cheerleader in G5 (positions in other groups are still available). He also has watts to spare, riding a bike that converts pedalling energy into front & rear lights. Whatever next!
Paul Robinson, 2nd TT ever, wanted sub 30, got sub 30, bish, bash, bosh! Sky (Ineos) is the limit for this man.
Vaughan Ward, proving to one & all that old bikes (& old riders) can still go fast. You could hang this man’s bike on a wall & call it art or you could ride it as hard as possible up & down the Thame road, loving that Vaughan is doing the latter!
Richard Langrish, The out & back course we used this week is definitely longer than the square course we used 2 weeks ago, no one told Richard though as he lopped off over 1 min from his time 2 weeks ago.
So far this year we have had 36 different riders ride a TT, if you’re friends with and/or ride with one of these pedalling superstars then expect them to be encouraging you to ride the last TT of the year in 2 weeks.
17th August, Sign-on from 18:30, first rider starts at 19:00, pub at 20:00!
