Good Evening ARCC Rouleurs,
Welcome to the Autumn Broadcast. As the trees don their golden jerseys and the wind starts whispering “base layers,” it’s time for your seasonal dose of club news, gossip, and gentle nudges to check your tyre pressure and battery levels on your lights and Garmins. Autumn is here, and like a well-timed cadence shift, we’re gliding into the final stretch of 2025 with style, warmth, …..and just a “hint” of rain and muck on our bike frames, gears, chain, jerseys, faces and inevitably mouths having left them open while gasping for more oxygen and instead filling our lungs with less desirable exhaust fumes.
Which reminds me to mention that the MUDGUARDS SEASON is starting on the 1st of November. Make sure you remember how to put mudguards on for this weekend ride so that they are properly mounted to provide a decent splash protection for riders behind while still keeping one’s posterior, if not totally dry, somewhat mildly damp.
CLUB ANNUAL FESTIVE DINNER– THE ONE WITH THE SPARKLE

MALLORCA TRIP 2026 – SUN, SWEAT AND SANGRIA
If your idea of spring involves smooth tarmac, coastal climbs, and post-ride tapas, then Mallorca 2026 is calling.
Dates: Saturday 16 to Saturday 23 May. 2026.
Location: Port de Pollença.
Vibe: Glorious.
Registration IS ALREADY OPEN and if your legs are already twitching with excitement, let Riva Cycling know.
New for this year, we have a great opportunity to save a little bit of money by booking through a new central process run by Riva Cycling. Compared to booking directly with the hotel you can expect to save a few pounds (…or not…it’s a fickle business dealing with Spanish hotels as we know), BUT WE DO NEED TO REACH 20 ROOMS BY 16 NOVEMBER 2025. After this date you may still be able to book but Riva cannot guarantee availability just simpler booking process, good cancellation terms and prices fixed in GBP.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: This is NOT an official club event; the new booking system is just a way to help members book the hotel more easily and affordably. Full details and the booking form can be found at: www.rivacycling.cc/arcc-mallorca-booking.
To access the booking form from the Riva site you will need a password – please to join the “Mallorca 2026” WhatsApp Group from within the ARCC Community to obtain the ARCC “members only” password
We’ll be sorting routes for all levels, from “coffee and chat” to “chasing KOMs like they owe you money.”
WOMEN’S RIDE ON 7TH DECEMBER + SOCIAL ON 18TH DECEMBER
The next Women’s Ride rolls out on Saturday 7th December led by the ever-inspiring Nicola, this ride is all about community, proper chinwag, and cake. No drop, no drama—just good vibes and good company. Couple of weeks later, on 18th December Nicola is hosting a social get together at her house for a bit more chat and a festive …ehem…“electrolytes” drink with a twist…
