March has come rather quickly this year. We are starting to see few sun rays desperately trying to get through the winter clouds resulting in a couple of sunny weekends this month to a point where early tan lines started forming on our vitamin D deprived pale faces and limbs. Alas we should not be tricked by those few sunny days as roads remain slippery and conditions treacherous that can catch of guard even the best of us. Sadly, we had one accident at the beginning of the month on a regular HALE Sunday ride with 3 injured riders. Although a good test of the club incident reporting procedure and First Aid training, I know we all wish it could have been avoided. Scott, Vince and John, from all of us in the club, we wish you a speedy recovery and easy return to regular club rides!
P.s Contact Colin Peters, our welfare officer on by message, WhatsApp or email welfare@amershamrcc.com if you would like to attend FIRST AID training. Pardon the “plug”.
ARCC TRAININGS 2025 RE-LAUNCH – BOOK NOW
Great News! Following many requests last year, ARCC is launching NEW Ride Training courses. Not just one, but two ride related courses based on a brand new material and specific to ARCC.
We have asked Chris German, British Cycling Licensed Coach to design training courses for ARCC members. He has designed RIDE LEADER and GROUP RIDING SKILLS training courses that will be running throughout the year, starting with RIDE LEADER courses in April and May. Not only will Chris carry out training sessions for members himself, but also “train the trainers” so that we as a club can have several coaches capable of delivering those trainings as a regular occurrence in the club and for as long there is a demand. Thank you Chris!

- Dates: 12th April & 3rd May (approx 3-4 hours per session)
- Venue: Wendover Memorial Hall, Wharfe Road, HP22 6HF
