Welcome to the April broadcast and what an April it was. More sunshine in the last few weeks than the whole of last year. Sadly, we also had new US Tariffs introduced meaning that even good old US of A bikes like TREK, Specialized and Cannondale will end up more expensive because they, like every other brand, source components from China where tariffs are going to have most impact. So if you are planning on buying a new bike, now is the time to get hold of existing UK stock….and then resell them few months later, collect the profits and invest in a decent European bike like Bianchi, Colnago or Pinarello for example. I know, I know…too controversial even for moi.
WOMEN RIDES AND GRAVEL ESCAPADES
Women group enjoyed 2 fabulous rides in March which were yet another success enjoying great routes, company and, of course, cake stops. Thank you again Nicola for making them better each time! If you are interested to find out more, please request to join the ARCC WOMEN RIDE WhatsApp group.
Also on the 19th of this month we had another amazing GRAVEL ride in New Forest meticulously curated by Stew and organised by Jim who purposefully sabotaged the local Morris Dancers “rain dance” resulting in a great sunny ride in one of the most picturesque areas of England. Well done Jim! Gravel rides have swelled up since its inception so if you want to try something different, request to join the ARCC GRAVEL RIDE group on WhatsApp.

MEMBERSHIP – RENEW NOW! LAST CALL
If you, god forbid, somehow missed to renew your membership for this year, rush over and get that done pronto!
If you have not yet renewed your membership for 2025 please do so as soon as possible. Stew, our Membership Secretary have waited for you to renew as long as he could. Alas he has started to remove “non-members” from the various WhatApp Groups and hoping to compete removals in the next couple of weeks. If you rush over and renew now, all is good, otherwise you may need to go through the whole re-joining process as if you are a new member.
To renew just click “BUY MEMBERSHIP” here: http://www.amershamrcc.com/about-us/new-joiners/
(p.s. I know I should not need to say this but I’ll go ahead and do it anyway since some “cheeky buggers” have decided to squeeze in a club ride this year without renewing. Shocking, I know! You should not be joining ARCC club rides unless you are a fully paid up member otherwise we are going to ask you to buy cakes and coffees for the whole club instead!)
