ARCC Kit – Frequently Asked Questions

What kit does the club keep in stock?

We keep a small range available for immediate collection:

  • Short sleeved jerseys (mainly for new members)
  • Socks (sizes 37–39, 40–42, 43–45, 46–48)
  • Caps (sizes 51–53, 54–56, 57–60)
  • Snoods (one size)
  • Fleece-lined arm warmers (sizes 1, 2–3, 4–5)

Occasionally, we also sell extra kit on behalf of members, but this is ad-hoc.

How do I order other kit (gilets, jackets, bibs, tights, etc.)?

These items are available through ordering windows that open a few times a year.

  • Minimum order quantities apply (usually 3–5 items depending on the product).
  • Ordering windows are announced via club channels and ride leaders.
  • Kalas Club Kit Shop – Currently Closed

How long will my order take?

Once the ordering window closes, Kalas begin production. Delivery is typically 5–8 weeks (closer to 5 weeks in most cases, but not guaranteed).

How does Kalas sizing work?

Kalas use a numbered system (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.), not the usual UK small/medium/large.

  • Jackets and gilets are designed to fit over layers, so they come up larger. Many riders size down.
  • Always check the official Kalas size guide before ordering: Kalas Size Guide

What’s the difference between Elite and Pro kit?

  • Elite – excellent all-round kit.
  • Pro – more fitted, aerodynamic, and made from slightly different materials.

Jackets – what’s the difference?

  • Pro Rainex – premium material, aero fit.
  • Elite 35 – high quality, slightly less premium than Rainex.
  • Elite-Z 38 – 2-in-1 design with removable sleeves (jacket + gilet).

Gilets – what’s the difference?

  • W&W Mission Flow – thicker gilet for colder days.
  • Microfiber/Net – mesh back, no pockets, very packable into a jersey pocket.

Shorts and tights – what makes them different?

These come with Kalas’ top-quality chamois pad for maximum comfort.

  • Chosen from the higher end of the Kalas range.
  • Designed to last and stay comfortable on rides from 50km up to 200km+.

Do I need to wear club kit on rides?

No, it’s not mandatory. But it’s encouraged.

  • Every member receives a short-sleeved jersey when they join.
  • Wearing ARCC kit helps build a strong club identity.

Can I return or exchange kit?

No. Custom orders placed in an ordering window are non-refundable.

We recommend trying on another member’s kit for sizing before you order.

Can I order specialist kit like skinsuits?

Yes. Some items (e.g. TT skinsuits or crit suits) have a minimum order of 1 and can be ordered outside the normal windows. Contact the Kit Manager for details.
