If I wanted to join, what should I do next?

Send an e-mail to our new member liaison  here: Mail News Joiners Secretary,  who will book you on to  the next intro ride.  Once you have been on the free Joiners ride and have read the  rest of this page,  you can then join the club through British cycling and enjoy the Sunday rides.

Make sure you know ‘the rules’

No, we don’t mean ‘the rules’ by the Velominati, the keepers of the cog,  The club have an etiquette and terminology that all members should be aware of.

Doing your bit

As the club is run by volunteers, we ask all members to contribute in some way – this would normally involve leading a ride occasionally, although it could possibly be by marshalling at time trials or helping out in some other way instead.

Options to pay

Payment can now only be made via the online facility through the British Cycling website, please click on the button below:

and follow the screen instructions.

This buys membership to ARCC. British Cycling membership is not included with the ARCC membership but can be purchased at the same time through the BC website.

Please also ensure that we have your full name. full postal address and details of an emergency contact.

If you are already a member of British Cycling, please remember to update your membership records to show you are a member of ARCC. That way we will be able to keep you up to date with ARCC event and club night information using the BC website and club email facilities.

BC Membership

ARCC strongly encourages all active members to have some form of 3rd Party liability insurance cover in place, whether this is through British Cycling, CTC or another provider.

“Ride” membership covers non-racing Club Riders including riders taking part in Sportive type events.

Benefits of BC ‘Ride’ membership include:

  • 3rd party liability insurance up to £10 million for accidents which are your fault
  • Free legal advice and support if involved in an accident that isn’t your fault
  • Priority access to UK cycling events
  • E-newsletter full of offers, tips, news and information
  • Discounts on Cycling magazines, kit and equipment

Facebook Group

Members can also become part of a closed Facebook Group where members can exchange news and views about cycling this is here: ARCC Facebook Group and click on the approve button.  Once approved you will have access to read, comment and post news.  Please make sure you area club member before trying to join otherwise you may be declined.

Facebook Page

The club also has a Facebook Page which publishes news about the club and news about cycling, The page is ARCC Facebook Page, click on the link and “like it” and you’ll see any news posted by the club appear on your FB timeline.

Members Area Access

There is a Members only Area (under the ‘club Info’ menu)  Link HERE.  where there are member only news items, committee minutes and a club forum to discuss all things cycling. If you want access please email and request access. Please make sure you area club member before trying to join otherwise you may be declined.

Strava Club

For members who use Strava we also have Strava club,  to join click on the LINK HERE. Please make sure you area club member before trying to join otherwise you may be declined.

When can you ride?

All rides organised by the club are published on the club’s calendar. Please check close to each ride as sometimes they change due to weather. and if unsure contact the Group co-ordinator of your group.


Remember – No helmet – no ride.

We meet on Sundays at 8.45am at the Car Park in the Link Road in Great Missenden for a 9:00am set off,  The calendar has the ride details
